I believe this story deserves to be told because even though I am focused on HELL BOUND right now, there is a bigger story to this and beyond this. HELL BOUND focuses on Adam's sins and his poor choices, decisions he made that led to a life in prison without the possibility of parole. I believe this is important for the build-up of HEAVEN BOUND, which will be my next book and my main goal. My focus is solely on these 2 books, starting now with HELL BOUND. It will give the reader an understanding of what took place in his life, his childhood, his relationship with his parents, and the relationship he developed with himself. It will paint the picture of the 'why" behind a life that was chosen that ultimately ended in prison. When HEAVEN BOUND is introduced, the reader will have the desire to continue reading beyond HELLBOUND. HEAVEN BOUND will include his deepest thoughts, regrets, remorse, and lessons he learned. It will include insight into how a murderer can have a desire to change after throwing their life away and choosing to gain a life after they ultimately lose theirs due to their own choices and poor behavior. If we change one person's outlook on not joining a gang, not doing drugs, and choosing to seek understanding of themselves from a therapeutic point of view and why they do or react the way they do from the experiences they endured in their lives, then the book will have achieved my goal. I want it to help others! TO CHANGE OTHERS LIVES and allow them to learn from someone who once was, or may still be, so evil.
I feel very blessed to know Adam and to have the opportunity to gain understanding; it's not every day we get to do this and most of the time in order to gain understanding about someone who has committed horrific crimes, we are watching it on the tv. Its not usually personal. I believe in itself that it is also changing my life. I overall want to be a better person, I am more cautious about the choices I make, and I have a true desire to be a great parent, especially after reading some of these stories, my desire has grown. It encouraged me to improve on a level I thought I was decently already participating in. I think it's wild when we are parenting or going through life as a person, and because we don't choose bad, we think, "I'm safe." Well, after gaining knowledge and reading about a little boy's experience that was horrific, I want to do even better. Really, I'm not safe on this level because, just like the saying goes, stagnant water creates bacteria, and moving water creates clarity. I want my children to know as a mother, I am always willing to grow and move and create better, DO BETTER. Helping my children to work through trials and hurts rather than just brushing off what could easily not be a big deal to us, but that child and through his outlook it was a big deal, and it changed his life. Maybe the reader is a parent who needs guidance or possibly doesn't know how serious the little things could evolve into. Adams's story is unique, as most children don't experience this extreme of measures growing up. Most children don't move out at 15 years old and wing it because of the horrific home life conditions; they would rather be homeless than go home? There has to be further understanding here to be gained. If we don't share this story, the world will miss out on a great opportunity to gain knowledge and learn how to be better, including looking out for each other. One of the hardest things in life is to face ourselves, and through these emails and messages I receive from Adam that I'm turning into this book, he shows great strength and perseverance to face himself, to finally put down his sword and surrender the life he once lived, that felt normal. One of the scariest things in life is the 'unknown'; he is finally willing to step out of his normality and give this life of healing and insight into his journey to the world, and he believes there is something greater than himself in the end. I believe that, too. I believe this man's journey will change people's lives. It will help them to reflect and face their own obstacles and have the strength to do it. If Adam can, then others definitely can, too. I also believe that something happens to us when we are heard. Being heard changes our own lives. What if Adam's 'feeling heard' and acknowledged even just through my interaction with him heals and helps him to become a better leader on the inside of our prison system? What if the people passing through the prison serving short-term sentences come across the man who healed himself and inspired others to do the same? What if our recidivism rate went down in the Prison system all across the world because of this book and the changes this man was willing to share? He has always been a leader but led others into the darkness, and what if, by sharing this and making this story known, WE were able to help lead them back into the light?

Since the creation of this installment, I am considering two additional books.
Very well written. I absolutely love your explanation it really makes sense and I hope and pray that many people are wanting and willing to read this and gain a understanding and make changes for the better. I absolutely adore you Ashley!
